Government School Reform
Sunbeams has partnered with both federal and provincial governments to improve educational standards through our highly successful Government School Adoption Program. To date, we have uplifted and transformed nine government schools in Gojra, Toba Tek Singh, and Shah Allah Ditta, Islamabad.
In addition, Sunbeams has entered into a contract with the Federal Directorate of Education to provide 129 highly qualified teachers across 58 government schools in remote areas of the federal capital. These teachers, all with at least 16 years of education from top universities in Pakistan, specialize in English, Mathematics, Science, and Computer Science. Sunbeams recruited, trained, and placed these teachers in government schools starting in January 2022, and we have since implemented a robust system of monitoring, mentoring, and assessment to ensure ongoing improvement.
Across Pakistan, millions of children attend government schools where education is free, but the conditions are extremely poor. Many schools suffer from inadequate infrastructure, a shortage of trained teachers, weak monitoring systems, and a lack of focus on both academic achievement and personal development. As a result, learning outcomes are often shockingly low. To address these challenges, Sunbeams has implemented its comprehensive School Improvement Program, designed to tackle these issues holistically and improve the quality of education for all students.
